Digital Nomads
Remote workers and digital nomads are an increasing global trend over the last years. Recently (Law 4825/2021), Greece joined other countries in offering permits to digital nomads, who are more and more attracted by the idea of working in our country.
How would it be like to work remotely in Greece, enjoying the breathtaking view of a Greek island, the Mediterranean climate, a unique cuisine and a warm welcome from the locals?

Key points
- Permit of legal residence in Greece, with no right of employment or business activity in Greece
- Digital Nomad Visa valid for a period of up to 12 months. Family members are also eligible for an individual visa, valid for the same period as the Digital Nomad Visa.
- Possibility to apply (prior the expiration of the Visa) for the issuance of a Digital Nomad residence permit valid for a 2-year period (with option of renewal). In that case also, family members are eligible.
- The applicant must prove that he/she has sufficient resources, as a stable income, to cover his/her living expenses during his/her stay in the country
- Required amount of sufficient resources 3.500€/month, which is increased by 20% for the spouse and by 15% for each child.
Third country nationals (non-EU citizens) who are either dependent employees or self-employed (freelance) persons, working remotely with employers or customers outside Greece using Information and Communication Technologies.
